The Receipt Generator creates professional, PDF-ready payment receipts in your browser in seconds — no accounting software, no registration, no waiting. Add your business details, customer information, line items, payment method, and transaction ID, then download a clean PDF receipt with a PAID stamp.
A receipt is the document that confirms a transaction has been completed. Where an invoice is a request for payment sent before money changes hands, a receipt is the record issued afterward — proof for the customer, documentation for your books, and the basis for any future refund, return, or warranty claim. A clear receipt with the right fields — receipt number, issue date, payment date, payment method, transaction ID, itemized purchases, and amount paid — protects both parties and keeps your accounting clean.
The receipt builder updates in real time as you type. Each line item has a description, quantity, and unit rate — the subtotal calculates automatically. Add as many line items as the transaction needs. Apply tax and discounts, and the running total at the bottom reflects every change instantly. The Amount paid line shows the final figure clearly.
Recording the payment method matters. Cash, card, bank transfer, PayPal, Stripe, Wise, check, crypto — whatever the customer used, the Payment method field is free text so you can record exactly what happened. Pair it with a Transaction ID, reference number, or last four digits of the card to make the receipt traceable later.
The PAID stamp appears in classic green at the top right of the document, gently rotated for visual weight without distracting from the content. It is on by default and can be hidden from the Format panel for receipts that should not display it.

Your draft stays in your browser (local storage). We do not store receipt content in a database. When you download a PDF, a one-time snapshot is sent to render the file and is not retained. Close the tab and local draft data is gone unless your browser keeps it.
